Stellar Blade has sold over 1 million copies. The action RPG inspired by hits like Bayonetta and Nier and developed by Shift Up confirms a PC version with the aim of boosting the game’s sales data, having already sold over a million copies as a PlayStation 5 exclusive videogame.

Stellar Blade Has Sold Over One Million Copies

Good news for one of the best games of 2024, which has enriched the PlayStation 5’s exclusive game catalog. We’re talking about Stellar Blade, the action game developed by the Koreans at Shift Up.

Since its launch on April 26, 2024, the title has climbed the sales rankings in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Japan, shining in a month marked by the rise of Fallout and the always successful Nintendo Switch games. See our Stellar Blade Review if you want more information on the game.

For example, Stellar Blade was one of the 20 best-selling games in April in the U.S. (despite only having four days to enter the top), and in Japan, it was the best-selling game in its debut week.

Shift Up is already considering a sequel to the title, but first, the game will be released on PC, as we suspected months before the launch.

In a meeting with the media, CFO Ahn Jae-woo revealed the sales that Stellar Blade has accumulated to date.

PC Version Has Been Confirmed

Stellar Blade could receive new outfits for Eve, as well as a photo mode in collaboration with the creators of Nikke: Goddess of Victory. CFO Ahn Jae-woo also confirmed that a PC version is on the way, with the aim of further boosting the action game’s numbers.

The high sales numbers are a very positive for the industry and genre, considering it is a new IP that is only available on PlayStation 5. The exact number is not known, but CFO Ahn Jae-woo is pleasantly surprised by the sales Stellar Blade has achieved in the U.S., the U.K., and Japan.

Stellar Blade is one of the best PS5 exclusives, available in both physical and digital formats since April 26, 2024. Initially, the action game will make the leap to PC, and a sequel is being considered for the coming years.
